An evening with Rotoiti Tours begins with a unique, authentic and warm Maori welcome where you will experience the spine chilling “Wero” challenge as you are welcomed onto the Marae.
After the Powhiri (formal welcome) we will welcome you as part of our family for the rest of the evening. You will be enchanted, delighted and entertained by a variety of traditional Maori performances which includes the fierce Haka (war dance) and games and songs that tell stories of old.
The next highlight of the evening will be the traditional Hangi Dinner where you will experience the traditional taste and see the cooking methods that are customary to the “World of Maori”
As the evening draws to a close and the time to depart arrives you will have felt the warmth of the whanau (family) and gained a true insight into the world of the Maori as it was and as it is today.
